Nourysh was born our of The Good Soil Movement. Founded in 2023 by T.D. Jakes Enterprises, Good Soil is an effort to support and sustain the growth of under-resourced businesses. "We want to grow a million businesses to $1 million in revenue over the next ten years," says TDJE COO Michael Phillips.

Good Soil already pushes towards that goal through a number of channels and initiatives:

• Good Soil HQ is a comprehensive business app with education, networking, webinars and unique tools for business serving more than 27,000 entrepreneurs. The app is open to all, with an audience that is 92% Black and 71% female.
• Good Soil Finance is a comprehensive business and personal finance app. It includes a financial health score; connections to experts; goal-setting and sharing; crowdfunding; and coming soon: a credit-builder Good Soil Mastercard.
• The Good Soil Forum is an annual conference featuring speakers, thought leaders and entrepreneurs looking for actionable learnings and opportunities for their businesses.
• The Good Soil Seed Capital Competition presented by Wells Fargo has distributed more than $750,000 in grants and provided LivePlan business plan software and training to more than 1,500 entrepreneurs

The idea for Nourysh came out of data from our members that indicated 34% wanted to sell products online but needed help to get started.
